你是否曾在論述型的文章中看過片語「on the other hand」，它指的並非真的「手」，而是在比喻如同人有兩隻手一般，事情往往有一體兩面、有好有壞，今天就來分享要如何使用這個片語吧：
on the other hand 為副詞片語，表「另一方面」，可以單獨使用，也可以伴隨 on the one hand出現，引導兩個相反或不同的概念。
📌 We could invite Tommy to see a movie with us, but on the other hand, he often talks through movies too much.
我們可以邀湯米跟我們一起看電影，可是就另一方面，他很常在電影放映時不停說話。
📌 We could take the high-speed train to Kaohsiung, but on the other hand, driving might be cheaper.
我們可以搭高鐵去高雄，但是就另一方面，開車或許比較省錢。
📌 On the one hand, working from home is convenient. On the other hand, I get lonely when I'm not around my coworkers.
一方面來看，在家工作很方便，但另一方面，我的同事不在身邊又讓我很寂寞。
！ 若要在同一句使用兩者，須用分號或用連接詞連接。
On the one hand, the job pays well; on the other hand, the work is difficult.
這份工作一方面待遇很好，但另一方面，工作內容並不容易。
