【英文連接詞】「對等連接詞」是什麼？有哪些？
英文中用來連接單字、片語、子句或句子的字詞稱為「連接詞」，其中又分為「對等連接詞」和從屬連接詞，今天主要介紹前者，分為單字型、成對式和片語式：
★ 對等連接詞顧名思義，連接的對象須為同等的單字、片語或子句。
單字型
常見的有：and、or、but、nor等
例句：
Joseph and Henry are best friends.
喬瑟夫和亨利是很要好的朋友。
Do you have a headache or a stomachache?
你是頭痛或肚子疼？
Eric plays guitar in a rock band, but his brother prefers playing classical music.
艾瑞克是搖滾樂團的吉他手，但是他的哥哥較喜歡演奏古典樂。
Alisa didn't want to get her friends in trouble for stealing, nor did she want to take the blame herself.
艾莉莎不想要讓她的朋友因為偷竊而惹上麻煩，她也不想要自己為此負責。
成對型
| either A or B | 不是 A 就是 B |
| neither A nor B | 不是 A 也不是 B |
| both A and B | A、B 兩者都...；兩者皆... |
| not only A but (also) B | 不僅 A 還有 B |
* 除 both …and…動詞恆複數，其他三者動詞會隨最近的主詞變化。
例句：
Either my sister or I am going to call you tomorrow.
我姊或我其中一人明天會打電話給你。
Neither the man nor his dogs are friendly towards other people.
那名男子跟他養的狗對他人都不友善。
Both my sister and I are tall.
我姊和我都很高。
Not only dogs but (also) cats are often kept as pets.
不僅是狗還有貓都常被飼養為寵物。
片語型
A as well as B A 和 B
例句：
The teachers as well as the students are excited about sports day this weekend.
老師還有學生都對本週末的運動會感到興奮。
● 若 as well as 連接兩個主詞，動詞的單複數變化要與第一個主詞一致。
The students as well as their teacher are going to the field trip.
學生和他們的老師都要參加校外教學。
● as well as也可以當介系詞使用，後面須接名詞或動名詞；這也就是為什麼我們會看到某些句子中 as well as 後方接的是V-ing。
The teacher needs to prepare for the lessons as well as checking the students' homework.
除了檢查學生的作業之外，老師還得備課。
