常見表示位置關係的英文用法
中文在表達「地理位置」時的方式有很多種，有「相對方位」的說法，也有直接說出方位的表達法，英文則常用「in、on、to」來表示，來看其差異：
◆ 使用 in 時表示在某地點內的相對方位。
in the north/east/south/west of +地點
在某地點的北／東／南／西方
Kenting is in the south of Taiwan.
墾丁在臺灣的南方。
Xinyi is in the east of Taipei City.
信義區在臺北市的東邊。
◆ 使用 to 時表示在某地點外的相對方位。
to the north/east/south/west of +地點
在某地點的北／東／南／西方
Japan is to the northeast of Taiwan.
日本位在臺灣的東北邊。
Ishigaki is a Japanese island to the east of Taiwan.
石垣島是一座位於臺灣東邊的日本島嶼。
◆ 當使用 on 時可表示在某地點外或內的相對方位，且兩地屬於相鄰接的位置關係。
on 地點's north/east/south/west side
在某地點的北／東／南／西方
On Yangmingshan's north side, you will find a white sand beach.
在陽明山的北方，你會看到一個白色的沙灘。
Keelung is on Taiwan's northeast side.
基隆位在臺灣的東北邊。
