TOEIC多益專欄 字根 "-sol"
TOEIC考試中詞彙量及詞彙引申能力佔有相當大的重要性，對於任何證照的同學來說，若能夠一定程度掌握字根、字首，就能快速加強解題速度與技巧！！
英文的構詞方式，是在一個固定的字根(root)前加上字首(prefix)、後加上字尾(suffix)來構詞。
❗ 字首會改變字義➡(如：re- 表示重複)
❗ 字尾會改變字的詞性➡(如：-ly)或意義(如：-able)
📝今天要來學習一個基本字根：sol，原意為「單獨的(alone)」
底下這些多益常考單詞，要記起來喔
📝 sole [sol] 📣 adj. 單獨的；唯一的
💬 The sole purpose of a "clickbait" title is to attract people.
（點擊型廣告標題的唯一目的就是要吸引人。）
📝 solitude [ˋsɑlə͵tjud] 📣 n. 孤獨；獨居
💬 After a busy week, Regina felt the need for some solitude and went on a hike alone.
（Regina過了一個忙碌的禮拜，她覺得需要獨處一下所以去了健行。）
📝 isolation [͵aɪs!ˋeʃən] 📣 n. 隔離；孤立
💬 From the 1630s until the mid-1800s, Japan had a policy of isolation and did not trade with other countries.
（日本從1630年代至1800年代中葉實施鎖國政策，與其他國家皆無通商。）
📝 console [kənˋsol] 📣 v. 安慰
💬 After Harry's dog died, it seemed that nothing could console him.
（自從Harry的狗過世後，似乎就沒有事情可以安慰他。）
