「退而求其次」的英文可以怎麼說？

有時候生活難免無奈，常會有「退而求其次 ⚖」的狀況出現，例如這次的疫情影響使得出國旅遊變成一件高風險的事情，許多人也因此轉為國內旅遊👣，可以更深度認識台灣本土的美景，英文我們可以用「the next best thing」來表示「僅次於…最好的事物」：
