英文諺語「The proof is in the pudding.」中文意思是「證明就在布丁裡」？

當你聽到外國人跟你說「The proof is in the pudding.」時，可不要誤會他在講說「證明就在布丁裡」啊！！其實「The proof is in the pudding.」他在英文裡是個諺語，直接翻譯是說「布丁好不好，吃了才知道」，意思也就是「只有通過體驗才能判斷事物的好壞；空談不如實證」，另外，也有人說「The proof of the pudding」，其實這兩句意思皆相同，都是從英文古諺＂The proof of the pudding is in the eating＂的簡寫喔！
