「first place」和「in the first place」意思不一樣！

英文單字「first」大家肯定不陌生，有「第一；首先」的意思，因此在競賽當中「first place」指的就是「第一名」的位子，但如果是『in the first place』👉則指的是事物的『一開始、最初、原本』，大家別搞錯囉！
例句：
Ted told Annie he didn't want to be her friend, but Annie didn't even like him in the first place.
泰迪和安妮說他不想要當她的朋友，但安妮打從一開始就不喜歡他了。
