嘉明湖的特色：
It is 3,310 meters above sea level, and it's also the second-highest lake in Taiwan.
它位在海拔3,310公尺，同時也是臺灣第二高的湖泊。
In Chinese, it's often compared to an angel's tear.
在中文裡，嘉明湖經常被比作天使的眼淚。
The local Bunun people call it the "moon's mirror."
當地布農族人則稱它為「月亮的鏡子」
On clear days, many visitors to the lake say that it looks as blue as a sapphire.
晴朗的日子裡，許多造訪嘉明湖的人說它看起來藍得像是一顆藍寶石。
In winter, the lake can turn black when it freezes.
冬天時，這座湖會因為結冰而呈現黑色。
