句型「as soon as」為表時間的從屬連接詞，引導從屬子句（或稱副詞子句），用來連接兩個發生時間點相同或相近的從屬連接詞，使用時要注意前後的時態：
As soon as S + V1…, S + V2… 表「一…就…」
① 可置於句中或句首，as soon as 之後常接較早發生的那件事。

As soon as I get home, I wash my hands with soap.
我一到家就會用肥皂洗手。
② as soon as 後面所引導的副詞子句主詞不須與主要子句的主詞相同，但時態必須一致。
Linda always answers the phone as soon as it rings.

As soon as the famous singer released his new album, his fans rushed to stores to buy it.
這位知名歌手一發行新專輯，他的粉絲便立刻跑到店面購買。
！ 表未來時間時，從屬子句須用現在簡單式代替未來式。
I will call you as soon as my plane lands at the airport.
我的飛機一降落機場，我就會打給你。
As soon as Tina opens the door, you will see her dog happily jumping to greet her.
